Do I have to transfer my Domain Name to webZplus ?
No, you have the option to keep
your Domain Name with your current Registrar, webZplus do however offer
competitive prices on all popular Domains .
Will I have to register a new Domain Name ?
You shouldn't have to, however
many unscrupulous Hosting Companies register their Clients domain names
to themselves making it more difficult for you to change hosting companies,
please email us first if you believe you are currently dealing with a
company like this.
What information do I need to register a new Domain Name ?
You will need your contact details,
your ACN, ABN or BRN Number to confirm your business name details if the
name relates to an Australian business, Trademark or Organisation details
for Clubs etc, and your details for your preferred payment method.
Will I have to have advertising on my site?
No, hosting with webZplus is completely
free of advertising - you can however have your OWN ads to help raise
money from your site.
Can I transfer my domain name to webZplus ?
Yes, If you registered your domain
name with another company and now you want to move, you will need your
registration records or need to contact the company and ask them how to
control your domain name. If you have a problem, just send us an email
and we can help, no charge and without obligation.
Do I have to get webZplus to design my website ?
No, you are free to get anyone
to design your website, we do offer lots of helpful tips, free scripts
and access to other free information - you might want to try designing
your OWN website.
I just signed up for hosting with webZplus, What next ?
The first thing you should do is
go to the company where you registered your domain name, log in and redelegate
your domain to our nameservers, you will find detailed information in
the signup email you received from us.
How do I get my website on your server ?
You do this by using an FTP (File
Transfer Protocol) Program. You can find links to several "FTP programs"
on our links page, and tutorials about FTP on our tutorials page.
How do I access my administration page of my server ?
You can access your administration
page by following the links from our support page (the grey buttons on
the left) or by typing 'www.yourdomain.com.au/cpanel' into your browser
window.
How do I know when my name has been delegated ?
After 12 - 72 hours of you redelegating
your domain to our name servers, go to any web browser and type your www
address in, you should see the webZplus holding page.
Do webZplus register Domain Names ?
Yes, webZplus are able to register
Domain Names in all the popular namespaces, additionally we can register
your domain name with up to 260 worldwide suffixes.
How is my foreign Domain Name registered ?
Your foreign Domain Name will
have different registration requirements for each country, if you want
to register a foreign Domain Name we suggest you contact us via email
first so we can advise you of the details required.
What is webZplus DNS information ?
Our nameserver information is
included in your welcome email, if you need a copy of this email simply
complete our contact form and we can resend this information.
Can I have multiple domains pointing to my hosting account ?
Yes, using URL forwarding you
can have multiple domains pointing to the same directory or different
directories, Premium URL forwarding even allows you to provide a page
title and search engine friendly meta tags.
Can I host my foreign Domain Name with webZplus ?
Yes, we currently host several
International Domain Names, the ongoing registration of these names continues
to be your responsibility however we can assist you in all other aspects
of your International Domains.
Am I allowed to switch to a different Registrar ?
Yes, The Inter-Registrar Transfer
Policy, applicable to all ICANN-accredited Registrars, provides that registered
name holders must be able to transfer their domain name registrations
between registrars. You must wait 60 days after the initial registration
or any previous transfers to initiate a transfer.
How do I transfer my domain name to a new Registrar ?
If you wish to move your domain
name from one ICANN-accredited registrar to another, you may initiate
the transfer process by contacting the Registrar to which you wish to
transfer the name. This Registrar is required to confirm your intent to
transfer your domain name using the Initial Authorisation for Registrar
Transfer form. If you do not respond or return the form to the Registrar,
your transfer request will not be processed.
What if I don’t know who my Registrar is ?
If you don't know who your current
sponsoring Registrar is, you can access information about your domain
name by performing a Whois Search.
My Registrar is listed as the Contact for my domain name ?
If you are listed as the Registrant
for the Domain Name, you can ask your new Registrar of Choice to send
the required Form of Authorisation to you rather than the Administrative
Contact.
